CEO and founder
Ross Sommers is the CEO and founder of Firstday Healthcare, an Ivy League trained neonatologist, and the proud dad of six. When he is not taking care of babies in the hospital or at home, he is finding ways to bring the care he provides in the NICU into parents’ homes.
Chief Product Officer
As Chief Product Officer, Evan Ackerman leads the design and delivery of Firstday Healthcare’s technology platform. With extensive experience guiding large, complex software builds across diverse teams, he turns ambitious ideas into scalable, human-centered solutions that enable seamless, data-driven care from the very first day of life.
Chief Medical Officer
Robert Koppel is the chief medical officer of Firstday Healthcare, the regional perinatal medical director at Northwell Health, and Professor of Pediatrics at Hofstra University. He helps oversee that the quality of care for infants on the Firstday Healthcare platform is equal to that of infants in the NICU.
